A Naturally Upholstered Nursing Chair.
Your nursing chair will be one of the most-used pieces of furniture in your home. During feeding, soothing, and late-night cuddles, you and your baby may spend hundreds of hours together in that chair. Choosing the right materials can make a meaningful difference to the comfort and environment of your nursery.

The Hidden Issue
Many mass-produced nursing chairs are made with synthetic polyurethane foam and chemically treated upholstery materials. Over time, these materials can release particles and volatile compounds into the air, particularly with regular use and compression.
For parents creating a natural nursery environment, this can feel at odds with the careful choices they make elsewhere in their home. -
A Natural Alternative
I specialise in restoring and rebuilding vintage nursing chairs using traditional upholstery methods and carefully selected natural materials.
Every chair is either recovered or stripped back to its frame and rebuilt by hand, creating a comfortable, beautiful piece that supports both parent and baby without relying on modern synthetic foams. -
Healthy Materials
🌿 Pure British Wool
Naturally breathable, temperature-regulating, and inherently fire-resistant, wool provides exceptional comfort while helping maintain a balanced seating temperature.🌿 Coir & Hessian
A supportive and durable combination that offers deep comfort for long feeding sessions, gentle rocking, and everyday use.🌿 Low-Toxin, Natural Interiors
By replacing synthetic foam and chemical treatments with natural upholstery materials, your chair becomes a healthier, more considered addition to your nursery.
Choosing Your Fabric.
We'll discuss your style preferences, nursery colour scheme, practical requirements, and the overall look you'd like to create. Once I have a clear understanding of your vision, I'll curate a selection of natural fabric samples chosen specifically for you and your chair.
Presented in a beautifully packaged sample pack and delivered to your door, you'll be able to explore colours, textures, and finishes from the comfort of your home. The result is a thoughtful, stress-free process that transforms fabric selection from an overwhelming task into an enjoyable part of preparing for your baby's arrival.
Planning for your Baby’s Arrival.
I recommend reserving your nursery chair commission 12 weeks before your due date. This allows time to source materials, complete the hand-crafted restoration, and deliver your finished chair approximately 4 weeks before baby arrives.
